Training Services

We provide the following training services. All are taught at your own pace, on-site at your home, and on your own equipment:

• HRC-101: Introduction to Computers - We will go through all aspects of computer hardware and software use for everyday computing activities. Perfect for seniors or children who have little or no previous computing knowledge, but want to learn how computers can help in their day to day lives. Normally taught on your computer, however if you do not have a computer, we will provide a computer/laptop during training. At end of session we can assist and advise with purchase of personal computer hardware.
• HRC-102: Introduction to the Internet - We will go through all the new and exciting technologies used to explore and communicate on the internet. We will discuss and demonstrate use of email, instant messaging, websites for electronic commerce, research, and games.
• HRC-201: Web Site Creation - We will teach you how to create your own website, register your own domain name (e.g. www.yourlastname.com). We will teach you basic HTML coding and how to work with easy to use HTML programming tools.
• HRC-202: Digital Photography - We will teach you how to use a digital camera, connect it to your computer, edit the pictures you have taken, print pictures on your printer or via photo labs for high quality large prints, and how to build a simple website to show friends and family your pictures.
• HRC-203: Digital Art and Design - We will teach you how to use tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and PageMaker, so you can make professional looking flyers, advertisements, signs, and brochures. Ideal for people who own their own business and would like to save money on expensive advertising costs.
• HRC-204: Data Backup Systems - We will teach you how to create a robust back-up solution for your computer's data, so you will be safe from potential lost of valuable data resulting from computer crashes, accidental deletion, theft, fire or other natural disasters.
• HRC-301: Digital Video - We will show you how to take digital video on your video camera and transfer it to your computer, edit it to make a professional quality video, then create your own DVD or streaming internet video to share with family and friends.
• HRC-302: Home Networking - We will show you how to network all your computers to share printers, files, and an internet connection through a single phone line or high speed connection (Cable Modem, DSL, Satellite). We will also discuss security issues involved with running a home network.
• HRC-303: Advanced Home Entertainment - We will teach you how to use the latest home electronics including WebTV, HDTV, DVD, Surround Sound, Digital Satellite & Cable
